Culinary Catering

Culinary Catering is an extension of The Culinary School at the Food Bank of Delaware, a culinary training program that trains disadvantaged adults for employment in the foodservice industry.

Emphasizing great taste and exceptional presentation, the catering program provides extraordinary food and remarkable service at competitive prices Only the finest and freshest ingredients are used, and our caterers specialize in organizational or business functions of 20-125 guests.

When you work with Culinary Catering, your reward is two-fold: honoring your guests or valued employees with wonderful food and service, while helping to change lives in our community! Our catering revenue helps assist funding of The Culinary School, a 14-week culinary training and job-skills program that prepares low- income or disadvantaged adults for employment in the food  idustry. Students learn food preparation, technique and safety, as well as kitchen operations. They receive job placement assistance, career coaching, mentoring and the life skills which are necessary to succeed after graduation! In addition, all of our students have the opportunity to become ServSafe Certified*, and the staff is dedicated to the success of each graduate.

Not only does our catering business financially support our training program, but it also provides employment opportunities for our graduates. Culinary Catering is making a difference in our community.

Sliced turkey breast with stuffing, baked tilapia, lump-meat crab cakes, braised beef tips in gravy, fresh salads and sides and hors d’oeuvres are just some of the many items on our menu. Don’t see something? We can also work with you to customize your menu!
