Highmark’s Walk for a Healthy Community

Grab your calendars and write us in for Saturday, June 4th!

The Food Bank has been selected this year to participate in Highmark’s Walk for a Healthy Community at Bellevue State Park. This event could raise a significant amount of support for our programs and services, but we need your help.

Form your own team, invite friends and family, and come out and walk with us. Have fun with the event! Your team can wear matching t-shirts or create signs to bring with you to share how you’re involved in the fight to end hunger in Delaware.

To walk with us, sign up by clicking here. Personalize your walker page, set a goal for your team or for yourself, and get the word out about the Food Bank and our mission. If you raise at least $30, you will receive a walk t-shirt the day of the event.

The day of the walk is a celebration! Refreshments and entertainment will be provided by Highmark. Parking is free at Bellevue State Park and registration kicks off at 7:45 a.m. The 5K walk begins at 9am, the 1 mile walk starts at 9:15am, and you can participate in either walk. Get outside, get moving, and show your support for the men, women, and children in Delaware who struggle every day to keep food on the table. Sign up today to start your fundraiser!
