Hunger will not end until its root causes – lack of job training, education, transportation,
childcare, literacy, affordable housing, healthcare, drug treatment just to name a few – are
addressed.
Through advocacy the Food Bank works to support and strengthen programs and policies
that guarantee adequate nutrition for everyone. We believe that unnecessary barriers
should be removed from the food assistance system so that people who are threatened
by
hunger can meet their basic needs.
