Volunteers are the heart and soul of the Food Bank of Delaware. Last year, we hosted
10,707 volunteers with more than 39,000 hours donated. This is the equivalent of

This year alone volunteers created 8,179 meal boxes, sorted 665,280 pounds of product
for distribution, stocked 486,125 pounds of product in Shopper's Choice, which was later
distributed to those in need and coordinated more than 300 food drives.
We have volunteer opportunities for both individuals and groups. The Food Bank of
Delaware is open for volunteers Monday-Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., most Monday
and Tuesday nights from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and one Saturday each month from
10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
