Two Stones Pub and Food Bank of Delaware to hold backyard BBQ at future home

Have plans for this Thursday? You do now! Two Stones Pub and the Food Bank of Delaware will partner together to host a fun outdoor barbecue fundraiser on Thursday, May 18 from 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. at the Food Bank of Delaware’s future home at 222 Lake Drive.

Guests will get a sneak peek of the Food Bank of Delaware’s future facility, while supporting the organization’s capital campaign, Creating a Bold Future. The $10.5 million campaign will enable the Food Bank of Delaware to expand program offerings and increase efficiency.

The Food Bank of Delaware acquired the new 80,000-square-foot facility in early July. 39,496-square-feet of the current warehouse will be converted, and plans call for the construction of two culinary kitchens, classroom space for expanded workforce development training in warehousing and agriculture, a clean room to repurpose produce and bulk food donations, a volunteer room that is double the size of the volunteer room at the Food Bank’s current facility at 14 Garfield Way, a full-service bistro to provide on-the-job training for culinary students, a community client-choice food pantry, office space and more.

The backyard party will feature smoked barbecue favorites prepared by chefs from Two Stones Pub, beer straight from 2SP Brewing Company, wine, live music from Zodiac Jack and a visit from the UDairy Creamery Moomobile.

Tickets are just $50/person ($30/under 21) and include unlimited beer from 2SP Brewing Company, wine, barbeque dinner, live music and outdoor games.
