The Food Bank of Delaware, Brae’s Brown Bags and First Chance Delaware are proud to organize Delaware’s fifth annual hunger conference. This year’s regional conference is entitled Coming Together: The Cycle Can Be Broken to reflect that the cycle of poverty can be broken in our communities through a trauma-informed care approach. For the third year, we will host a conference for both adults and children. The conference has been approved for 4.0 CLE credits from the Delaware Commission on Continuing Legal Education and 3.0 CPEUs from the Commission of Dietary Registration. More credits will be announced upon approval.

Our conference is scheduled for Thursday, April 4, 2019 from 8:30 a.m. – 3:15 p.m.  at the Chase Center on the Riverfront in Wilmington, Delaware. A bag packing event for the Food Bank’s Backpack program and happy hour sponsored by Chase will take place immediately following the conference

The Chase Center is located at 815 South Justison Street. It’s conveniently located near the Wilmington train station and accommodations can be made at the adjoining Westin Hotel. Click here to reserve a room

This year we anticipate more than 500 adults and children to attend our full-day conference focused on innovative ways we can work together to alleviate hunger in our community and improve nutrition for our most-vulnerable populations through a trauma-informed care approach.

Exhibit opportunities for nonprofit and state agencies are available! Please click here for more information!

Coming Together will feature both an adult track and kids’ track, with opportunities for both groups to come together to identify solutions to issues related to hunger. Planning is currently underway for the conference.
