Take your food service career to the next level!
For the third year, the Food Bank of Delaware will offer the National Restaurant Association’s ManageFirst Program to the public! Classes will be offered at the Food Bank of Delaware in Newark.
This curriculum is designed for individuals working in the food service industry who are interested in attaining additional skills to increase their pay and position within the field.
Students can take all five classes or select just the ones that pertain to their employment growth! To earn the ManageFirst Professional credential, students must pass four Core Credential Exams and one Foundation Exam. Classes will be five days with the exam on Friday.

Session One Classes
June 18-22 – Controlling Foodservice Costs
Manage and forecast profitability
June 25-29 – Hospitality and Restaurant Management
Manage team members and restaurant-based issues
July 2-6 – ServSafe (Three-day class with one day to test)
The ServSafe Food Protection Manager Certification meets Delaware law’s requirements of demonstration of food safety knowledge
July 9-13 – Hospitality Human Resources Management & Supervision
Manage team members and comply with legal requirements
July 16-20 – Nutrition
Learn the basic fundamentals of a well-rounded meal
Session Two Classes
July 23-27 – Controlling Foodservice Costs
July 30-August 3 – Hospitality and Restaurant Management
August 6-10 – Hospitality Human Resources Management & Supervision
August 13-17 – Nutrition
August 20-24 (Three-day class with one day to test) – ServSafe
Cost: $300/class or $1400 for all five classes (financial assistance is available to those who qualify)
