How does this event benefit the Food Bank of Delaware?
Your presence and generosity are a testament to the abundance that we can create when we come together in the fight against hunger.
The Food Bank relies on contributions from individuals, organizations and corporations to provide hunger-relief programs throughout the state. For every $1 donated, 95 cents goes directly to feeding hungry adults and children in the community.
What should I wear?
Guests tend to dress up a little for our events, but jeans and casual attire are not out of place. Please remember, you will be dining in the garden and encouraged to wander, so plan your footwear accordingly.
What if it rains?
This event is rain or shine! If need be, we will move the event inside and you will get a behind the scenes peak at the Food Bank of Delaware. In case of rain, please pack an umbrella, as there is a short walk from the event parking to the building.
Will I receive an event ticket?
Your ticket purchase confirmation email contains your ticket link. All guests will check-in at the registration table. If you need to transfer tickets you may do so online. Please feel free to forward this email to your guests.
Will there be donation opportunities at the event?
You’ll have a chance to make a meaningful impact by making a donation to provide meals for Delaware families in need. You’ll receive a special tag to write your name on and add to our giving garden. Watch the garden grow as our community comes together to spread hope, one meal at a time!
Can’t wait to give? You can also make a donation ahead of time through the registration page Please share the link with friends or family who want to contribute and be recognized, even if they can’t attend the event.
We also encourage guests to bring a “most needed item” to further support our neighbors in need.
Will there be a silent auction?
Each station will have an incredible auction item that was donated by our participating farmers and chefs. The online auction link will be sent to all registered guests ahead of the event. You can even share it with friends who are unable to attend! There is no cost to participate, and you will only be charged if you are the winning bidder.
Will we get to vote for our favorite dish?
All guests will have the chance to vote for their top three favorite Farm & Chef combos! When you arrive, you will receive three tickets so you can vote for your favorite duo. To vote, simply place a ticket in the ticket box on the table of three Farm and Chef combos you like best. Winners will be announced at the end of the evening.
How will I know where to go?
The event will offer beer garden style seating and cocktail tables, and roaming through the garden is encouraged. Guests will receive a tasting tour card so you can be sure to try each station twice if you’d like. We encourage you to make new friends while building community over your farm fresh food.
What is the menu?
Each station is prepared and served by local restaurants, with the support and generosity of local farmers. Guests can try each station and come back for seconds if they wish.
