The Food Bank of Delaware empowers low-income families to make healthy food decisions on limited budgets by providing nutrition education.

Research has shown that clients served often have difficulty finding and/or affording foods that comprise a healthy diet. They may resort to stretching their food dollars by purchasing food that has little to no nutritional value.

Individuals with diets lacking nutritional value often lead to chronic illness such as diabetes, high blood pressure and heart disease. To help families, nutrition education is available to SNAP-eligible households and WIC recipients.
