The evening begins with cocktails and farm-fresh appetizers among the fields before guests move into the very heart of our operation, the warehouse, for a plated dinner and an exciting live auction.

This intimate event will feature a specially curated multi-course menu developed by the Food Bank of Delaware Culinary Team and Dogfish Head chefs, with each course thoughtfully paired with a selection of Dogfish Head beers.

Throughout the evening, a Dogfish Head representative will guide guests through each pairing, sharing tasting notes, brewing insights, and the stories behind the featured beers. Guests will also hear from the Food Bank’s culinary team about the inspiration behind the menu and how each course was crafted to complement the beer selections.

Wine & Oyster Dinner at James Farm Ecological Preserve

Imagine an unforgettable autumn evening at James Farm Ecological Preserve in Ocean View, Delaware. Your experience begins with a tour guided by the Delaware Center for Inland Bays staff through the preserve’s salt marshes and tidal flats, leading to the scenic shores of Indian River Bay. Along the way, you’ll discover the unique wildlife, native vegetation, and rich ecology that makes this coastal treasure so special.

As the sun begins to set, return to the Education Center where you’ll be welcomed with a glass of wine and freshly harvested bay oysters. Then, gather beneath the majestic sweetgum tree and dine along the edge of the maritime forest.
