Around every table, food does more than nourish—it creates connections. And in Delaware, where neighbors often know and rely on each other in times of need, the power of our community is undeniable.
Over the past 40 years, the Food Bank of Delaware has grown from a modest church basement to a vital network with hundreds of partners statewide.
We distribute millions of pounds of food each year—everything from pantry staples to fresh produce from our own farms—while offering nutritional guidance to help families thrive. Whether it’s a mobile pantry in a low-income neighborhood, a school backpack filled with weekend meals, or a delivery to a senior’s doorstep, we meet our neighbors where they are with kindness and respect.
But food distribution is just the beginning. To truly end hunger, we must tackle its root cause: poverty. The Food Bank equips our neighbors with the skills and resources to build lasting financial stability through innovative workforce training, financial coaching, and food benefits outreach.
With your support, we go beyond temporary relief—we transform lives and create communities filled with hope, dignity, and opportunity.
