Cruise for a great cause! Summer events benefit Food Bank of Delaware

With warm, sunny days, we’re thinking ahead to summer!

Sunset cruises with Captain’s Lady Charters out of Bowers Beach are back for the 2018 season! Last season was a sell-out success, all benefitting the Food Bank of Delaware.

Set sail on the first cruise of the season on Friday, May 18. The Captain’s Lady departs at 7 p.m. from the dock at Bowers Beach, returning at 10 p.m. The cruise takes guests on the Delaware Bay with views of a lighthouse or two.

Beer for the first cruise will be provided by Mispillion River Brewing, and light fare prepared by students from the Food Bank’s Culinary School is included in the $30 ticket price. Passengers may BYOB as well. Other cruise dates are June 22, July 13, and Aug. 17. A local brewery – or distillery – will partner with the Captain’s Lady for each cruise.

 Proceeds from the cruises benefit student scholarships for The Culinary School at the Milford Branch.
