Tickets on sale for 5th annual Harry K Foundation Christmas Ball

November 15, 2017

Tickets are now on sale for the 5th annual Harry K Foundation Christmas Ball, a gala fund-raising event that will be held Saturday, Dec. 16 at the Rehoboth Beach Country Club.

The Foundation has pledged 100 percent of the proceeds toward alleviating childhood food insecurity in Delaware. Nearly one in five Delaware children live in poverty.  Since 2012, the Foundation has contributed more than $406,000 to help support Food Bank of Delaware programming for children. The Harry K Foundation sponsors 509 children participating in the Food Bank’s Backpack Program and 29 school food pantries throughout the state, including pantries at Delaware State University, Wesley College and Delaware Technical and Community College in Georgetown.

The black-tie Christmas Ball is a memorable social event and is the largest fundraiser for the Harry K Foundation. According to the Foundation’s web site, guests can anticipate a regal welcome, an open bar, delicious dinner in a lavishly decorated ballroom, and the opportunity to participate in silent and live auctions. Two pieces of custom-designed jewelry by Harry Keswani will be featured items. Guests will also enjoy mingling with elected officials and community leaders, before dancing to music by the Funsters.

“We truly appreciate the Harry K Foundation’s commitment to the children that we collectively serve, and we are sure that their families and support networks, including the schools, are very thankful for the guests who support this mission,” said Food Bank of Delaware President and CEO Patricia Beebe. “We can’t serve thousands of children throughout their state without committed partners like Harry K.”

Tickets for this year’s ball are on sale until Nov. 25. All proceeds go directly to feeding children in Delaware. To purchase tickets, visit www.harrykfoundation.org.
