Tejinder Singh, a spirited 59 year old, has embarked on a remarkable journey of discovery and skill-building through the L.O.G.I.C. (Logistics, Operations, General Warehousing, Inventory Control) program at the Food Bank of Delaware. This program has provided Tejinder with an opportunity to learn new skills, contribute to his community, and chart a path towards financial stability, all while making a meaningful impact.
Having embraced many life experiences, Tejinder found himself eager to join the L.O.G.I.C. program, presenting the perfect chance for him to not only learn something entirely new but also to expand his skill set in a dynamic environment. Tejinder’s journey with the L.O.G.I.C. began when one of his friends stumbled upon a program flyer. Recognizing the potential for Tejinder to thrive in this environment, his friend suggested he join the program. Tejinder readily connected with the program supervisor and expressed his desire to become a part of the program.
Throughout his time in the L.O.G.I.C. program, he has demonstrated a remarkable enthusiasm for learning the intricacies of warehouse operations. One particular piece of equipment he particularly likes is the forklift. With the ability to efficiently transport food from one area to another, the forklift has become Tejinder’s favorite tool.
As Tejinder looks towards the future, he envisions continuing his journey with the Food Bank of Delaware by contributing to their warehouse operations. This desire stems from Tejinder’s profound appreciation for the opportunities the Food Bank has provided him, not only in terms of skill development but also financially. With a son attending the University of Delaware, Tejinder’s ambitions are intertwined with supporting his family’s future endeavors. The skills he has acquired through the program, combined with the potential for stable employment, position him to confidently fulfill these aspirations. Even at 59 years old, Tejinder’s determination to learn, grow, and contribute to his community shines brightly.
