L.O.G.I.C. Student Spotlight: Amir

October 7, 2024

Amir’s journey into the world of warehousing and logistics began with a suggestion from his mother, based on a recommendation from an old school teacher, that he look into the L.O.G.I.C. program at the Food Bank of Delaware. Since joining the program, Amir has enjoyed building connections with his classmates. “I enjoy getting to know them and spending time together,” he says. The sense of camaraderie has been one of the highlights of his experience.

Amir’s long-term career goals are focused on technology. He shares that he “would like to work with computers and get into IT”. With the skills and experience he’s gaining from the LOGIC program, Amir is setting a solid foundation for his future career. In five years, he envisions himself in a steady job, working toward buying his first home, and maintaining a healthy work/life balance.

When asked what advice he would give to someone considering the program, Amir suggests: “Do it”, saying that the LOGIC program has provided him with important experiences personally and professionally. “I would say it’s a place for opportunities,” he adds when describing the Food Bank.

Amir’s story is a great example of how the LOGIC Program provides not only technical skills in warehousing and logistics but also opens doors to a wide range of career possibilities.
