L.O.G.I.C. Student Spotlight: John

John Metzler discovered the L.O.G.I.C. Program through a family member who volunteers at the Food Bank of Delaware. Hearing about the opportunities available, John decided to enroll. “Good career opportunities, getting certifications, and job placement” were key factors that motivated him to join the program.

John has particularly enjoyed working on the machines. With his sights set on a long-term career in warehousing, he shares, “I want to work in a warehouse like we do here.” In five years, John hopes to be in a more advanced position within the field, earning higher pay while continuing to build on the skills he’s learning now.

When asked what advice he would give to others considering the program, John says “I’d say they should definitely do it. It’s a really great opportunity for a lot of people.” 

To those unfamiliar with the Food Bank and its workforce development programs, John describes it as “a really great opportunity to advance your knowledge”.
