Supporter of the Year: Montchanin Design
May 11, 2016
We continue to highlight the seven groups and individuals that were honored at last month’s annual dinner!
When the Food Bank of Delaware began pursuing options to relocate its Newark facility, Michael Looney and from Montchanin Design stepped up to offer his architectural services on a pro-bono basis, donating more than 220 hours of professional services.
Michael provided his expertise to advise on whether potential properties or pre-existing buildings would work for the Food Bank of Delaware’s needs.
He drafted floor plans and renderings for multiple potential properties and was always accessible with questions.
He helped to arrange meetings with developers, was involved in political meetings and did whatever
was needed during the process.
The Food Bank never viewed Michael as a contractor, but rather a partner who shares our vision of a community free of hunger.
Now that the Food Bank has settled on a final property for its Newark relocation, Michael has been a critical link in the process.
The Food Bank thanks Michael for his commitment to our mission!
