Thankful for our healthcare heroes
May 26, 2020
COVID-19 has been difficult for all of us, but especially our healthcare workers who are on the frontlines caring for sick patients. All of us at the Food Bank of Delaware are grateful for our healthcare heroes. It was an honor to receive a letter and four boxes of nonperishables and $150 from Stephanie Levin and her fellow Clinical Laboratory Scientists from the Christiana Care Microbiology Lab.

We are honored to make a food item and monetary donation to the Food Bank of Delaware.
This donation is made with GRATITUDE for the incredible support & recognition that as health care providers we have experienced from our community over the past few weeks during the COVID-19 Pandemic.
By performing the patient testing with the ChristianaCare Department of Pathology, Microbiology Laboratory, we are proud and committed to an active role in keeping our community safe. We are grateful for the opportunity to have an impact on the health of our community.
Lunches/food deliveries, appreciative words and showings of support from family, friends, and community have been incredible, and we are all touched.
There are many members of the community that have shown their support for health care team members, and we are appreciative for all that have done so- Caffe Gelato, Drip Café, Homegrown Café, as well as other private members of the community that have sponsored meals.
We would especially like to recognize a few families that made sure to recognize our efforts to keep everyone safe: Mike Valichka, The Pierce-Matlack Family and The Swenson Family.
Thank you to the frontline workers who are caring for our community! Thank you for paying it forward with a generous donation to our neighbors in need. On behalf of the Delawareans we serve, we are so grateful for your generosity!
