University of Delaware Softball team “Trick or Treats So Others Can Eat”

This morning, members of the University of Delaware softball team pulled up to the Food Bank in a pick-up truck filled with bagged food donations.  The team delivered 650 pounds of food that they collected on Halloween night during their annual Trick or Treat So Others Can Eat community food drive.

The team dressed up in costumes and trick-or-treated for nonperishable goods in the local West Branch neighborhood in Newark. In the days leading up to Halloween, the team sent a letter along with a grocery bag donated by Food Lion so neighbors were aware of the opportunity do donate.
